New Application Deadline and Program Timeline

Application deadline for the 3rd round of the Fulbright Arctic Initiative has been postponed. The new date is September 15, 2020.

Due to COVID-19 outbreak application deadline and program timeline have been revised:

February 2020 | Fulbright Arctic Initiative Scholar Competition Opens
September 15, 2020 | U.S. Scholar Application Deadline
November 2020 | Finalists notified of selection decisions
March 2021 | Opening Group Meeting (Canada)
Winter 2021/22 | Mid-year Group Meeting (Norway, TBC)
Fall 2022 | Final Group Meeting (Washington, DC)

The Fulbright Arctic Initiative III will bring together professionals, practitioners, and researchers from the United States, Canada, the Kingdom of Denmark including Greenland and the Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Russia, and Sweden for group seminars and an individual Fulbright exchange to address key research and policy questions related to fostering a secure and sustainable Arctic.
