Fulbright Inter-Country Travel Grant

Invite a U.S. Fulbright scholar in Europe for a short visit to Denmark

Fulbright Denmark participates in the Fulbright Inter-Country Travel Grant Program,  which enables U.S Fulbright Scholars in Europe to create connections with other fellow scholars and institutions in their field in Denmark.

Each year approx. 200 American Fulbright visiting professors are affiliated with a university in Europe. Danish higher education institutions can apply for one of these U.S. Fulbright professors to visit them for a maximum of one week, for example to give lectures, participate actively in seminars and workshops, etc.

Project details

U.S. Fulbright Scholars in the Denmark can also benefit from the Fulbright Inter-Country Travel Grant opportunities. Please ask the inviting institution in your prospective host country in Europe to find out if the Fulbright Commission in that country offers Inter-Country Travel Grants.

Benefits of participating

The Inter-Country Travel Grant Program provides:

  • Scholars on Fulbright grants in Europe with opportunities to enrich their professional and cultural experience outside of their country of assignment.
  • Danish institutions with an opportunity to invite Fulbright grantees from other countries in Europe to lecture in Denmark.
  • The inter-country scholar visit must take place during the U.S. Scholar’s Fulbright grant period.

If selected, the grantee will be responsible for making his/her own travel arrangements.
