Last year Henrik Pinholt was awarded an anniversary grant for his studies at MIT

Fulbright Denmark is exceptionally offering an additional grant amount to selected applicants in the coming grant competitions in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Fulbright Denmark and the 75th anniversary of the Fulbright program globally. On top of the usual 50,000 DKK (for one semester) or 85,000 DKK (for two semesters), there will be additional grant opportunities because we are adding an extra amount for selected grantees who stand out among the best and brightest student applications.

Last year, we awarded Henrik Pinholt an extra grant amount, changing his grant from 85,000 DKK to 200,000 DKK. Pinholt is doing a combined Master’s/Ph.D program in Physics at MIT and is specializing in theoretical biological physics.

Below, you can read his statement as he won the grant:

“As a Ph.D. student at MIT, I now have the opportunity to take classes and do research at the highest level. Currently, I am taking courses in advanced physics while I identify the best match among the research groups over here. Fulbright Denmark’s anniversary grant has made me able to get the most out of valuable time at one of the best universities in the world.

Thank you Fulbright!”
