The grantees represent a broad variety of academic and artistic fields and accordingly also many Danish institutions of higher education all over Denmark. The Danish Fulbrighters will be studying, researching and working in some of the best and  world renowned American universities along with some of the best and brightest representatives within their respective fields from all over the world.

The contacts and networking opportunities that the brand name of Fulbright will lend to the grantees will assure a life changing experience to each of them personally. Naturally, this will also be to the broader benefit of Denmark upon their return.

"The Fulbright program worldwide is based on the trust that academic and cultural exchanges are key assistants in creating a better, more interconnected world."

- Marie Mønsted, ED Fulbright Denmark

Earlier in spring 2020 Fulbright Denmark additionally awarded over 2 million DKK to American students (Master/Phd level) and scholars to come to Denmark for their academic and cultural stay within the next Academic year 2020-21. Similar to the Danish grantees they represent a broad variety of academic fields and will attend many different Danish institutions all over the country.

We trust the grant money will make a difference for each grantee, but with 69 years of experience we also know that a Fulbright grant is worth far more than the money value.  The Fulbright program worldwide is based on the trust that academic and cultural exchanges are key assistants in creating a better, more interconnected world  –  something that seems even more  important in these times of COVID-19.
